Aion 2 Assassin macro setup

In Aion 2 one key can run several skills, and a macro can press a key for you. Set up well, an Assassin holds one mouse button and the game plays the damage skills in a sensible order. This guide walks through the whole setup with the keys used in a common example. You can use any keys you like.

Not checked in game. The setup comes from player guides and top Global players' setups (last written 25 Oct 2026); patches can change it, and the skill cooldowns can differ with your gear.

What you end up with

Step 1: fill key 1 with the hitting skills

Open the Skills window and drag the skills into key 1, one per row. The game tries row 0 first, then row 1, and so on, and uses the first skill that is off cooldown. So the order matters:

RowSkillNote
0Insignia ExplosionYour biggest hit. 10 s to cool down
1Heart Gore5 s to cool down
2Ambush10 s to cool down
3Savage RoarNever cools down

Savage Roar is last because it never cools down, so something always fires.

Step 2: fill key 2 with your power-ups

Stigmas are your power-ups. Put them on key 2 in the order below. The column grows as your stigma slots open at levels 22, 27, 32, 37.

SlotStigmaOpens at level
1Illusive Clone22
2Swift Contract27
3Triniel's Dagger32
4Savage Fang37

Step 3: put your movement skills on their own keys

Skills that move you are better pressed by hand, so they stay out of the macro:

KeySkillWhat it does
3Flash SliceJumps you to the far side of a target close by.
4ShadowstrikeJumps you behind a target up to 20 m away and stuns it.
5InfiltrateAfter a dodge, jumps you behind a target up to 10 m away.

Put Quick Slice on the left mouse slot. Dodge is Shift and a potion fits on F1.

Step 4: make the macro

In the Skills window, open the Macro tab and click Add Macro. Your hotbar pops up: click key 1 and save. Set the delay to 10 ms. That is the whole macro: one entry.

Step 5: put the macro on the right mouse button

Open the game settings: Esc → Settings → Key Settings → General → Gameplay → Macro. Set Macro to the Mouse 2 button. Now holding it keeps pressing key 1.

Step 6: use it in a fight

Hold Mouse 2 and Mouse 1 together. The macro cycles the hitting skills as they come off cooldown, and Quick Slice fills the gaps. Press key 2 for your power-ups when you want your burst, and use your movement keys yourself.

Step 7: check it works on a dummy

Hit a training dummy for a minute, then press Ctrl + X to open Combat Analysis. It shows which skills you used, and all four skills from key 1 should appear.

If some never show up, go to Settings → Combat → Controls → Skill Queue, switch it to the other setting and try again. Still missing some? Raise the macro's delay from 10 ms to 50 ms, which helps on a slow connection.
